To get ready for the coming holiday weekend, I made a batch of cookies perfect for sharing to love with some Wisconsin family and friends. I was thrilled with this recipe for chocolate sugar cookies, and I used my own recipe for the frosting.
Cream Cheese Cutout Cookie Frosting
1 Tablespoon Butter, softened
1 Tablespoon Whipped Cream Cheese
2 Cups Powdered Sugar
Cream the butter and cream cheese together. Add the powdered sugar and a splash of milk. Add milk to get to a desirable, spreadable consistency. Add more sugar to thicken, if you add too much milk. This made enough frosting for two batches of frosting; it could also easily be colored as you wish.
